A CHRISTMAS MEMORY 1966 $120.00 price improvement to $85.00
16mm b/w print 2,000’ excellent condition on reel in can
Dir: Frank Perry
Cast: Truman Capote (Narrator), Geraldine Page, Donnie Melvin

As Christmas approaches rural Alabama, a young boy and his best friend, an elderly woman distantly related to him, prepare for the holiday by gathering ingredients for their annual batch of fruitcakes for 'people who've struck our fancy'. On Christmas Eve, they talk with great anticipation of the next day, but underneath is the sad, almost unspoken knowledge that the boy is growing up and his cousin is getting older and more frail.

Originally airing on ABC-Television as three separate 52-minute specials, "A Christmas Memory" remained unedited for this release, but "Miriam" and "Among The Paths To Eden" were each trimmed to approximately 25 minutes for a total theatrical running time of 110 minutes.

"A Christmas Memory" is one of the three stories in this telefilm.

This sweet, tender, and sad story is based on Truman Capote's lonely childhood and his friendship with an elderly female cousin during the Great Depression years of the 1930s. Geraldine Page turns in a magnificent performance as the old soul who's never been to a movie or eaten a meal in a restaurant. Her whole life is the boy. She is unforgettable in this film.

(Airdate Tues Sept 14 1965) $57.00  ON HOLD
16mm B&W Print in Good Condition.  Complete heads and tails.
DIR: Charles R. Rondeau  CAST: Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch, Ken Berry
The intro for the remainder of the first season featured scenes from this Pilot episode.

Becoming a hero by accidentally leading a cavalry charge while sneezing due to allergies, Captain Wilton Parmenter is given command of Fort Courage. The fort's crafty Sgt. O'Rourke has a deal with the local Hekawi Indians to market their wares to the tourists. They must sometimes pretend to be enemies.  Jane is out to marry the innocent Parmenter.

F Troop was, without a doubt, a victim of it's own genius and thus ranks as the SINGLE greatest example of a television show that was way ahead of it's time. Perhaps too far ahead. The show ran for two seasons on ABC from 1965 to 1967. One season in black and white, the other in color. 66 episodes were produced and every one of them was a comedic masterpiece. Despite poor ratings and eventual cancellation, the show went on to become extremely popular in syndicated reruns and developed a large cult following.  Shipped on a reel.
